Everyone has their own recipe for coping with an unbearable situation. Some, literally, have taken to cooking and baking to distract the mind from focusing on the ugly truth. Each of us has our own limit, which when breached could cost us our sanity. Social media is flooded with posts that give us an idea of states of wellbeing, be it physical, mental or emotional. For myself, it is a challenge to find balance between escape and heeding the call to step up and participate.
In this current reality, it is difficult to find hope; not to despair.
